SessionStem for mastering engineers

Your masters deserve better than a lossy preview link

SessionStem streams true lossless review in the browser, keeps every revision as an immutable version, and holds finished masters behind payment — so the file the client approves is the file that ships.

Why generic file sharing fails mastering

Mastering lives in the last dB. When a review platform quietly re-encodes your upload for streaming, the client is approving a different file than the one you made — and hearing artifacts you did not put there. When they download an MP3 preview and A/B it in iTunes against the unmastered mix, the conversation is already broken.

The other failure is bookkeeping. A mastering revision is small and consequential; "which version did you approve?" needs an answer with a file attached, not a guess across email attachments.

What SessionStem does differently

Lossless review, never a silent quality switch

Clients stream a lossless preview in the browser, and downloads are always your untouched original — WAV, AIFF, FLAC, BWF.

Immutable versions as a paper trail

Every upload is frozen as a version. Approvals attach to a specific file, so sign-off is a receipt you can point to months later.

A/B with the playhead held in place

Compare rev 2 against rev 3 at the same timestamp without re-cueing. Clients can actually hear the 0.5 dB conversation instead of nodding along.

Masters unlock on payment

Attach the balance to the project. The client hears the finished master in full, but the files release only when payment clears.

Dolby Atmos deliverables

The Pro plan accepts Atmos uploads alongside stereo, with the same organized, gated delivery.

Delivery that looks like your work sounds

Files land in labeled folders — Masters, Stems, References, client Uploads — instead of a flat list of attachments. The client gets one permanent link with the current status, every version, and the conversation in one place. You look organized because you are.

Common questions

Does browser playback change my audio?

Review streaming is lossless, and the download is always the exact file you uploaded. SessionStem never swaps in a lossy encode behind your back.

Can clients compare against their reference?

Yes — clients can upload references through the same link, and versions can be A/B compared with the playhead held at the same position.

What about Dolby Atmos?

Atmos deliverable uploads are included in the Pro plan ($79.99/month), alongside 2 TB of storage.

Do clients need software or an account?

No. Everything happens through one browser link, on desktop or mobile.

Master it once. Deliver it right.

Create a workspace, drop in a master, and send one link that handles review, approval, payment, and delivery.
