SessionStem policy

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what SessionStem collects and how it uses that information to run audio review, scheduling, calendar sync, payment-gated delivery, and support workflows.

Effective July 13, 2026

Information SessionStem collects

SessionStem collects account information such as names, email addresses, workspace names, project names, client contact details, support requests, and authentication data needed to operate the service.

Studios may upload audio files, project notes, comments, approvals, payment status, delivery records, and session scheduling details. Client review links may collect comments, approvals, email verification events, and delivery activity.

When a studio admin connects Google Calendar, SessionStem receives the connected account email, OAuth tokens, granted scopes, calendar event identifiers, and event sync status needed to create, update, or cancel studio session events.

How SessionStem uses information

SessionStem uses account, project, and client information to provide audio review workspaces, collect timestamped feedback, manage approvals, schedule studio sessions, send transactional emails, process delivery access, and provide support.

Google Calendar access is used only to create, update, and cancel studio session events for the connected admin workspace. SessionStem does not read unrelated calendar event details for advertising, profiling, resale, or unrelated analytics.

Calendar event descriptions may include the studio name, project name, client email or name, session status, location, and admin-entered notes so the connected calendar event is useful to the studio.

Google user data

SessionStem's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

SessionStem requests Google Calendar Events access to write session events and Google account email access to identify the connected calendar account. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and are used only for the connected workspace's calendar sync.

Admins can disconnect Google Calendar from the Schedule page. Disconnecting stops future sync activity for that provider. Users may also revoke SessionStem access from their Google Account security settings.

Sharing and subprocessors

SessionStem shares data only as needed to provide the service, such as sending email, processing payments through connected payment providers, storing files, running the application infrastructure, and responding to support requests.

SessionStem does not sell personal information. SessionStem does not use Google user data for advertising, and does not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve the user-facing calendar sync feature, comply with law, or protect the service.

Advertising and analytics

SessionStem's marketing and studio pages load advertising measurement tags from Meta (Meta Pixel) and Google (Google Ads tag). These set cookies and report page views and sign-up or trial events so SessionStem can measure whether its advertising works. The data is shared with Meta and Google and handled under their respective privacy policies.

Client review links never load advertising tags. People invited to review audio through a SessionStem link are not tracked by ad platforms on those pages.

You can limit ad measurement with browser tracking protections or content blockers, and through the ad-preference settings in your Meta and Google accounts.

Security and retention

SessionStem uses workspace-scoped access controls, hashed or encrypted secrets where appropriate, encrypted calendar tokens, and operational safeguards designed to protect project and client data.

Studios control their projects, clients, uploads, schedules, and connected calendar providers. Some records may be retained for operational, legal, billing, security, backup, or dispute-resolution purposes.

If a user asks for deletion, SessionStem reviews and processes the request subject to account ownership, legal obligations, backup cycles, and service integrity requirements.

Your choices

Workspace admins can update client records, revoke review links, disconnect calendar providers, cancel schedules, and request support for exports or deletion.

Clients can choose whether to leave comments, approve work, verify email access, or download files through the review link provided by the studio.

To request access, correction, export, deletion, or calendar-disconnect help, contact SessionStem support at support@sessionstem.com.

Changes to this policy

SessionStem may update this privacy policy as the product, legal requirements, or providers change. Material updates will be reflected by changing the effective date on this page.
